Ch. Dura Ram, MLA (2005)
Chowdhary Dura Ram is perhaps the youngest leader
from Fatehabad to adorn MLA seat of Fatehabad. He was born on 18 January 1958 in
Mohammadpur Rohi village of Fatehabad. Choudhary to Ch. Manphool Singh and Smt. Maina
Devi's the proud parents of Ch. Dura Ram.
Ch. Dura Ram did his primary studies at his
village and for further studies he went to Dhangar village. He is the nephew of
former chief minister of Haryana Ch. Bhajan Lal.
He owes his success to blessings of his parents,
inspiration and guidance of Ch. Bhajan Lal and love and
cooperation of people.
His political career begun in 1995 when he became
member of Jila Parishad ( ) from Hisar district. Later on he became Vice
President of the same. He worked as president of the same for two years.
He became member of Jila Parishad, Fatehabad in 2000 and during this
tenure he contested for MLA elections twice ; first in 2003 when he lost and
secondly in 2005 when he won.
His social work at the time of flood in 1995 was
tremendous.
He wish to get Fatehabad connected to Railway
Line, make a by-pass road in city, to provide electricity to all dhanis (villages),
to open a govt. engineering college in town etc.
He trust God and is a down to earth person. He
wish to make Fatehabad an ideal, educated and prosperous constituency of Haryana.
